– Rotary Dryer
Co-Current dryers are the widely used and are particularly suitable for drying materials containing a high moisture content, which are heat sensitive or have a tendency for caking.
The wet material is in contact with the gas at its highest temperature, which s rapidly evaporates surface moisture. Since the heat transfer rate is high, which is providing an immediate and considerable drop in gas temperature, which prevents overheating of the goodsl and the dryer tube.
The product, which is in contacting with the gas at its lowest temperature, enabling the moisture content to be readily controlled, usually by maintaining the dryer exhaust gas temperature at a pre-set value.
– Rotary tubes
The advantage of rotary tubes is that they are able to handle large quantities and products with a very wide particle size distribution. They can be used as dryers, coolers, granulators, coaters and rotary shake out drums.
